Sports Events 2018/2019

Throughout the year we will be taking part in a variety of different sports events and activities. You can have a look at how we got on, read our children’s comments and see some of our photographs below.

Basketball 10.10.18 - First we had an exciting once in a lifetime assembly. It was about a world famous basketball player who came into assembly! Wow! He showed us lots of amazing spectacular tricks. He was very tall! He was 7ft 7”! His name was Paul. He played for the world famous team called ‘Harlem Globetrotters’. He also did very generously some P.E with us. We all got high five from him! He is the only person in the world to do a no jump dunk! Isn’t that cool? When you look up you have to tilt your head right up. It was a very good experience and I would love him to come in again. Football 10.10.18 – This football match was on Wednesday. The teams that played were Larkhill and St. Thomas’. This match was played at St. Thomas’. We won 15-4 and the goalie was very good but he was slapping. Eventually we said three cheers for Larkhill and we shook hands. Report by Max.

On Monday 1st October, we invited Year 1 and their parents/carers to participate in our half termly ‘Be Active across the Ages Event’. This was our first Be Active event of the year, and we are pleased to say it went well! The activities included were shuttle runs, hurdles, problem solving, ball skills and hand and eye co-ordination. The children loved every minute. Thank you to the parents who came along and took part.
