St Thomas’ are delighted to have won our bid for one of Totally Stockport’s giant frogs, which will be exhibited in an open air frog trail of 20 from June to October around Stockport Town Centre. The frogs are decorated by a variety of artists from the area and sponsored by local businesses.
The frogs represent a ‘Giant Leap Forward’ for Stockport which celebrates the recent massive investment taking place in our town.
We asked the children to come up with their ideas for our frog which would represent Stockport and our values as a school. Children then began working with local artist Pauline Wood to decorate the frog. The painting has started and he really is looking very colourful and rather dapper!
Our frog has been sponsored by The Light Cinema for us to decorate and will be exhibited outside Red Rock. We hope you will go and visit it and the other frogs around town which make up this fun and exciting open air art exhibition celebrating our brilliant town!
