School's Current Status: CLOSED until Monday 19th July. School will re-open Tuesday 21st July 2021
Please check this page regularly as we will post updates on the current situation relating to coronavirus as well as other important information and messages. Please ensure that school has up to date contact numbers in case we need to get hold of you and an active email address for sending correspondence. When school is open if your child is required to self-isolate information for home learning can be found under the home learning tab on the left and on individual class pages.
Please note that during school closures our primary method of correspondence will be via Class Dojo; all information will be posted on the main school feed or on your child's class page. Teachers will post 3 home learning lessons each day as well as links to other apps and activities. You can private message your child's class teacher, Mr Sanchez or the school office through the app; any key messages will also be posted on this page. If you have any trouble accessing your class dojo account please phone the school office or email email@example.com as soon as possible.
Monday 11th July 2021 - School Closure and Free School Meals Parcels
Our School meals provider TLC will be providing food hampers for all child who are entitled to receive free school meals for the period that school remains closed. The contents will supply your child food for lunches for 6 days. The parcels will contain fresh perishable items and must be collected as soon as possible from tomorrow afternoon (Time to be confirmed by TLC).
If your child is eligible to receive free school meals and you wish to order a food parcel please contact the office as soon as possible via private message on Class Dojo or phone the school on 0161 480 4742 by 2pm today. This will help to ensure we are able to order the correct amount of parcels for those who require them and avoid food going to waste as we are unable to re-distributed uncollected parcels to others. If there is no one available to take your call please leave an answer phone message with your request stating your child’s name. If you unsure if your child is eligible please contact the office and we will be happy to let you know.
Thank you for your co-operation.
I have just been informed that we have a positive case of COVID in Year 5.
Your child will therefore have to isolate up to and including Monday 19th July.
Year 5 will be due back on Tuesday 20th July.
Home learning will be provided through Class Dojo.
Again I hope that the affected person will make a speedy recovery.
Unfortunately following my earlier message, there have been a further 3 more positive PCR COVID test results. These results mean that in addition to Nursery, Reception and Year 3 , we now need to inform Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6 that they also have to isolate up to and including Monday 19th July.
Due to the affect of the close contact to the positive individuals, many of our staff need to isolate and therefore we have no other option but to close school during this isolation period. We can not open school safely due to the number of staff that will be isolating.
Online learning will commence for all classes from this Monday 12th July. This will be via Class Dojo.
To confirm, Year 4 and Year 5 will be home learning but are NOT in isolation as they have not had close contact with the individuals.
I wish all those affected, a fast and speedy recovery and ask you as parents to remain vigilant and please follow the government isolation rules to prevent any further spread.
All school events over the next 10 days will therefore be cancelled.
Please inform me of any positive PCRs in the next coming days if you require one.
A Public Health England document will follow shortly.
Take care everyone
Unfortunately we have a confirmed COVID case in the Nursery and Reception bubble, detected via a PCR test and therefore the bubble will have to isolate up to and including Monday 19th July and will be able to return to school on Tuesday 20th July.
In addition, an individual in Year 3 currently has a positive LFT result but we are still awaiting the PCR result. Unfortunately, this means Year 3 will have to isolate until the result is through. As soon as we know this result we will notify the bubble. If it is a positive PCR result, the bubble will have to isolate up to and including Monday 19th July and will be able to return to school on Tuesday 20th July.
If however, the PCR is negative, I will inform you and Year 3 will be allowed to return immediately.
For Nursery, Reception and Year 3, home learning will commence on Monday 12th July. You can access this through Class Dojo.
The rest of the school will remain open to - Year 1, Year 2, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.
We hope all affected individuals remain well and we ensure that we will remain vigilant around school to ensure safety of all staff and children.
Take care and stay safe.
